The FIA European Rallycross Championship returns to one of the sport’s most famous venues next month as another spectacular 68-car entry list prepares to take on Höljes Motorstadion for the Euro RX of Sweden on 3-5 July.

Known as the home of the legendary “Magic Weekend”, the Swedish circuit will host Round 3 of the 2026 season, with drivers competing across Euro RX1, Euro RX3, Euro RX4 and Euro RX5. Set deep in the forests of Värmland, Höljes is one of the most popular stops on the rallycross calendar and regularly attracts passionate fans from across Europe.

EURO RX1

The championship’s top category will feature 29 drivers from 11 nations, setting the stage for another thrilling weekend of racing – with the Swedish fans lining up along happy street will have a treat with a packed grid of local talent.

Andreas Bakkerud arrives in Sweden leading the championship after two rounds, but with home favourite Johan Kristoffersson close behind, the fight for the title remains tight heading into one of the most important weekends of the season.

Local fans will have plenty of drivers to cheer for. Other than Kristoffersson, Sweden's Viktor Kristensson, Casper Jansson, Peter Hedström, Filip Thorén and Martin Enlund are all set to compete on home soil.

The international field is equally strong, with Ole Christian Veiby, Patrick O'Donovan, Fabien Pailler, Anton Seppä, Juha Rytkönen and Nils Volland among the drivers aiming for a place on the podium. Young talents Johannes Rafoss and Joni Turpeinen will also be looking to make their mark as the season continues, with the Finn undoubtedly keen to close the gap with the Top 3 in the Championship Standings.

With valuable championship points on the line and a packed field ready to take on the famous Höljes track, another spectacular weekend awaits.

EURO RX3

Sixteen drivers will line up in Euro RX3, a category that has produced some of the closest and most exciting racing so far this season.

After winning both rounds to date, France's Julien Meunier heads to Höljes as the championship leader and the driver everyone will be trying to beat. However, with several of his closest rivals also entered, Sweden could prove to be a pivotal weekend in the fight for the title.

Portugal’s Tiago Ferreira, Hungary’s Sámuel Kovács and Lithuanian driver Rytis Gurklys are among those hoping to challenge for victory. Fans will also be keeping an eye on podium contenders Nicolas Geleyns, Dylan Dufas and Libor Teješ as they take on the famous Höljes circuit.

With drivers from nine countries represented, Höljes promises to once again deliver plenty of battles in RX3.

EURO RX4

Eight drivers are entered in Euro RX4, as the category continues to grow momentum in its first year.

Andrea Benezet arrives in Sweden at the top of the standings and will be aiming to continue his impressive run at one of rallycross' most famous venues. A strong result at Höljes would give the French driver a valuable boost as the championship enters its second half.

Norway's Markus Jonsberg Hansen will be joining the grid for Round 3 of the Championship and will be looking to make the most of the Nordic setting, while French competitor Thomas Quincé and Estonian Albert Ako Kokk are also expected challengers for the podium in Sweden. Poland's Anna Rusek, Latvia's Ivo Gabrāns and China's Haotian Deng complete the line-up – along with Hungary winner Filip Melon.

With little separating the drivers so far this season, every race could prove crucial in the fight for points.

EURO RX5

The new Euro RX5 category continues its first season with 15 drivers entered for Round 3.

Estonians Martin Juga and Armin Raag headline the entry list, but with several of their closest rivals also competing in Sweden, the battle for points remains wide open as the season reaches its halfway stage.

French drivers Paolo Martins and Florian Martins will also be among those hoping to challenge at the front of the field in Höljes, alongside Hungary’s Otto Horváth, Germany’s Tim Braumüller and Marko Muru, and Great Britain’s Benjamin Bartlett..

Featuring drivers from 10 different nations, the category continues to showcase emerging talent and provide close racing throughout the field.
