Loeb and Hansen confirmed for FIA Rallycross World Cup in Jakarta

Nine-time FIA World Rally Champion Sébastien Loeb and former FIA European Rallycross Champion Kevin Hansen have been confirmed as part of the SARGA MOTORSPORT line-up for the inaugural FIA Rallycross World Cup, taking place in Jakarta, Indonesia, on 5–6 December.

The pair will contest the RX1 category, reuniting as team-mates for the first time since racing together in the FIA World Rallycross Championship between 2016 and 2018.

Completing the line-up is Indonesian driver Kingston Effendi, who will represent SARGA MOTORSPORT in the RX5 category. The 14-year-old is one of Indonesia's most promising young motorsport talents and will compete on home soil at the inaugural World Cup.

The announcement marks another milestone ahead of the first FIA Rallycross World Cup, which will see the sport expand into Southeast Asia for the first time. The event will be delivered by the FIA in partnership with SARGA.CO in Jakarta this December.

Loeb needs little introduction, with the Frenchman boasting nine FIA World Rally Championship titles alongside an impressive rallycross record that includes multiple FIA World Rallycross Championship victories. Hansen, meanwhile, arrives as one of rallycross' most accomplished modern drivers, having claimed the FIA European Rallycross Championship title in 2016 before finishing runner-up in the FIA World Rallycross Championship in both 2023 and 2024.

Sébastien Loeb added: "I'm very much looking forward to racing in Jakarta and being reunited with Kevin as my team-mate. The first FIA Rallycross World Cup in Indonesia is an exciting opportunity for the sport, and I'm happy to be part of this new chapter with SARGA.CO."

Kevin Hansen said: "I'm really excited to be part of the FIA Rallycross World Cup in Jakarta with SARGA.CO. To have the opportunity to race alongside Sébastien again, this time in Indonesia, makes it a very special programme. The World Cup is going to be a huge event for rallycross, and I'm looking forward to being part of it."

With three drivers now confirmed, anticipation continues to build ahead of the first ever FIA Rallycross World Cup, which will bring together leading international and emerging local talent for a landmark event in Jakarta this December.
